President Rodrigo Duterte has endorsed a P1,000 increment in the pension of resigned Social Security System (SSS) individuals this month.
Presidential representative Ernesto Abella affirmed the news in a Palace preparation on Tuesday.
"With respect to SSS benefits increment, the President has affirmed a P1,000 annuity increment this month," Abella said.
He said the President needed to "satisfy a social contract with the Filipino individuals."
"He tries to satisfy a social contract with the Filipino individuals, particularly the elderly and poor people, to give them their best lives in administration," Abella said.
"While practicing monetary obligation, to guarantee the financial supportability and secure the individuals who put resources into the country's future," he included.
